Franklin County Detention Center
The Franklin County Detention Center is located in the same Walnut Gate Road complex as the sheriff administrative functions. The detention page says the facility opened March 17, 2008, can house about 220 inmates, and has on-site medical services through Southern Health Partners. The page identifies Captain Felisha Weeks as Jail Administrator. The Mike Green Center double glass doors are the jail lobby entrance for visitation and for leaving money on inmate commissary and phone kiosks.

Franklin County Inmate Visits
Franklin County visitation rules are service-based rather than a published day-by-day schedule in the research. Each inmate receives two free 30-minute visits per week, for a total of one free hour. Franklin County Inmate Mail
Mail must use the inmate name and 748 Walnut Gate Road, Russellville, AL 35654. Include the sender name and return address. The detention rules say mail is not forwarded to other facilities after transfer, and mail without sender information may be destroyed. Franklin County Inmate Bond

Franklin County Commissary and Phones
Kimble's Commissary Services provides commissary. An account is created after booking, and the inmate receives a commissary number. ADOC BOP and VINELink
Not every person with a Franklin County case remains in the county jail. A sentenced state prisoner may appear in the Alabama Department of Corrections inmate search after transfer. A federal prisoner uses the Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator. VINELink is different from both because it supports custody notification for Alabama, not a full court-record or warrant search. The correct tool depends on custody status.
